3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safaris
The 3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safaris is an incredible short gorilla trekking tour package that leads you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world’s remaining endangered mountain gorillas that still exist in the wild. This trip will allow you to have a face-to-face encounter with our closest relatives whom are said to share 98% of their DNA with humans. The park is located in the southwestern Uganda region , estimating 8 to 9 hour drive from Kampala or Entebbe. Alternatively, you can choose to use a domestic flight, ‘’Aero Link Uganda,’’ which is based at Entebbe Airport – to fly you to Kihihi Airstrip in about 1:20hours landing. It starts and ends in Kampala /Entebbe.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala after breakfast by our expert safari driver–guide, brief you about the safari. Then, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda with a stop at the equator in Kayabwe to have memorable photos, visit the craft shop, and buy souvenirs. Proceed to another stop in Mbarara town for lunch en route. Continue to drive through beautiful landscape, rolling hills, and countryside. Arriving in the evening, check in at your booked lodge and rest . Have dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven – Mid range /Buhoma Rest Community Camp -Budget
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early morning breakfast, carry your packed lunch box at the lodge and be transferred to the park headquarters for a short briefing about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. After the briefing, you will be accompanied by the park ranges through forest trail head in search of the gorilla family assigned too. The trek takes between 30minutes to 7 hours, depending on where were last seen the previous day. On finding them, you will be given an hour to spend with them, learning about their behaviors, habits, play, and feed and enjoy capturing videos. After gorilla trekking encounter, you will hike back at the starting point to be awarded with a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking. Meet your driver –guide, and return back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day3: Depart back to Kampala /Entebbe
Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge before departing back to Kampala. Have en-route lunch in Mabara town. Proceed to Kampala and arrive in the evening to be dropped off at your hotel or at any place of your choice. End of the 3 Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safaris.
